The Global Fund for Women (GFW) had organized the three-year Economic Opportunity Initiative to empower women worldwide so that they can gain economic independence. The implementation of the program opened new ideas and expressions that can serve as valuable lessons for other organizations involved in implementing women’s economic empowerment programs. These lessons were documented in the report entitled, “More Than Money: Strategies to Build Women’s Economic Power,” which was developed as a publication due to the partnership of GFW and the Three Guineas Fund. The report has both strategies implemented and the lessons learnt with examples from projects world over. These strategies and lessons can be useful for NGOs in developing programs and projects in the area of women’s economic empowerment. The report can be downloaded freely from this link.
