Goal is a Standard Chartered Bank community initiative which uses sport and life skills education to empower adolescent girls offering knowledge and offering a safe place to play. Goal was initiated in India and will be expanding globally in 2010, aiming to reach 100,000 girls directly and up to 5 million mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and community members.
Incorporated with the help of partner, Women Win, this interactive web platform will enable organizations to use the Goal curriculum throughout the globe, empowering more girls through sport and life skills education.
GoalProgramme.org gives organizations the opportunity to adapt the curriculum activities to their local community needs and share these changes. There’s also a strong monitoring as well as evaluation to witness the change together.
