This guide is beneficial for the development organizations around the world, as it relays a list of directories and Websites that provide information about International donors. The guide was prepared by International Youth Foundation in collaboration with the Small Grants Program of the World Bank; however, it is not a formal publication of the World Bank.
Though there are numerous development organizations throughout the world that are engaged in productive activities, yet they are not able to realize their capacity and potential since many of them do not have proper access to funds, nor do they have ample information about funding organizations, and the projects that they support. The present guide aims to solve this issue by providing addresses and websites of some funding organizations. It provides information about the geographic locations and programs that are on the priority list of these funding organizations. Moreover, the guide also aims to help the development organizations by explaining the application procedure for the funding organizations. In addition, the guide has ample margin space to be utilized for writing notes about the funding organizations, while researching them.
The guide is divided into various sections including technical assistance in how to mobilize resources, categories of donors, published directories exhibiting the electronic resources for researching the web and web portals for local and international donor websites.
