Monitoring & Evaluation is all about watching the progress of the project and every donor wants to know in advance as to how the fund-seeking organization would manage this.
Meetings are critical for monitoring the progress of the project. The meetings could be project staff meetings or the board meetings or the meetings with the donor. Since these have be conducted regularly during the cycle of the project, they should be considered as a necessary tool for monitoring. Field visits by senior project staff or organization personnel are another monitoring activity. Submitting regular reports in agreed formats can also mentioned as part of it.
All monitoring and evaluation strategies have to be developed in line with the listed objectives and results mentioned earlier.
In addition to this, there are new tools used for monitoring and evaluation purposes such as the LFA or the Logical Framework Analysis. It renders a clear concept of what needs to be achieved
