The environmental sustainability section requires 2,000 characters with spaces, which is required to describe how the project has applied environmentally sustainable practices to use natural resources efficiently, to favor the use of sustainability-managed renewable resources, and to avoid waste. The nomination needs to explain how the project has been implemented in a way that took into account environmental sustainability. For example, you may provide information about the efficient uses of natural resources (including water), the uses of sustainable-managed renewable resources, and waste avoidance.
The project results and impact section requires 1,500 characters with spaces, which must have proven its worth on a pilot or small-scale basis. The impact of this project must be measurable, quantifiable, or otherwise demonstrated. The nomination is needed to describe what results the project has demonstrated to date, including approximate number of beneficiaries and direct impact on improving outcomes for beneficiaries. Where possible, you may provide clear, measurable data as results, for example, the percentage of people who have been beneficial from the clean water system, or collected data from a survey or other measurements. And impacts are those results that happened after a longer term or after the project’s completion like clean water supply or better nutrition availability.
The measurability section requires 1,500 characters with spaces, in which you need to describe the specific methods and indicators that the nominee has been using to monitor and evaluate the project’s success and implementation. The indicators are measurement index of the results, and one or more indicators for each objective should have been selected such as quantity data (number, percentage or ratio), and quality data (fact and knowledge). For example, the percentage of people who have access to nutritious food has been increased (a real percentage number is needed).
In addition, you will need to provide information about the organizational capacity and individual leadership (1000 characters with spaces) in the project. This may include information about the project’s leaders, their backgrounds, and the history of their involvements. The project and its leaders will also be judged on their abilities to incorporate and support an investment by the CSV prize to assist in the development of the project and its continued growth and viability. And the potential of the project for its concept of Creating Shared Value for all of its participants will also be measured.
