The AUSAID has short-term funding for NGOs to implement projects and activities for reducing emissions caused by deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries under its International Forest Carbon Initiative Concept Development Grants. This scheme is also aimed at international and Australian organizations with expertise in reducing emissions. The grant can provide seed funding for activity ideas proposed to AUSAID through submission of concept notes. The grant ensures promoting creativity, transmaterancy and methodological rigour by supporting innovative ideas to respond towards climate change. It funds activites that build linkages with local ideas and governments for improved efforts in this field. The grants are announced once in a year. Link.
