AUSAID has two funding schemes called the Direct Aid Program (DAP) and the Small Activities Scheme (SAS) which provide direct funding support NGos in developing countries. The schemes support projects that contribute towards reduction of poverty and for the achievement of the sustainable development through small scale interventions. Preference is given to organizations working with needy communities such as children and other vulnerable groups and gender and environmental issues are also addressed through this scheme. The schemes are managed by the local offices of the AUDAID in various countries and proposals also have to be submitted directly to the country offices. Link.
