AUSAID (Australian Agency for International Development) has the Asia Public Sector Linkages Program PSLP) which has the objective of building the capacity of the public sector in governance and management for “nationally determined development outcomes.” The scheme is available only in selected Asian countries. The activities funded under this project are mostly development-oriented with a clear focus upon gender and development, poverty reduction, environement and sustainability, which form the part of the AUSAID development policy guidelines. The project activities under this scheme will provide technical assistance for institutional strengthening. There can aslo be short-term trainings, secondments and policy research work as well. The proposed activities are funded for a period ranging from three to 36 months and the grants are generally given between $50,000 and $250,000. There are funding rounds in a year during which the agency accepts proposals and applications from potential grantees. These rounds, two in number per year, are usually in March and September and selected countries in Asia are notified about the opportunity. Link.
