The United States Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) invites proposals from organizations outlining program concepts and capacity to manage projects targeting Transitional Justice Global Initiative. Organizations interested in implementing projects that will meet new challenges in countries in transition struggling with legacies of or ongoing gross human rights abuses as they unfold on the ground or that will leverage new opportunities as they arise are encouraged to submit the proposals.
Maximum grant amount under the call is $750,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Organizations must form a Consortium and submit a joint proposal. However, one organization must be designated as the Primary Applicant/Lead Organization.
- Lead organization must be a US non-profit organization or a comparable organization headquartered internationally.
- Lead organization must have demonstrated experience administering successful and preferably similar projects.
- Lead organization must have existing, or the capacity to develop, active partnerships with in-country entities and relevant stakeholders including industry and non-government organizations.
- Applicants must be registered user of grants.gov and all the organizations (applying for Federal grants or cooperative agreements) must provide a Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number.
