Deadline: 30 March 2015
The UBS Optimus Foundation invites proposals from organizations or institutions working in Nepal, Indonesia, Brazil and Mexico for ECD+ Integrating early child development and violence prevention program. The program should aim to achieve one or more of the following outcomes: cognitive development, socio-emotional development, reduced stunting, improved anemia, improved maternal and child health outcomes (including mental health), pre-numeracy/literacy skills, reduced behavioral problems and must aim to achieve reduced exposure to violence (child maltreatment and/or exposure to domestic violence).
Early child development focuses on the developing brain, an organ that governs future socialization, school achievement and life success. This call seeks projects that enable children to reach their full potential as of early childhood. Linking education, health and violence prevention interventions can have greater positive impact on a child’s development potential than addressing each discipline separately.
