Deadline: 3 April 2015
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is inviting Serbian organizations for ‘Serbia Civil Society Partners’ Program. The program aims to increase the participation of civil society in both national and local decision-making and facilitate adoption of participatory public hearings, public meetings to discuss local priorities, and public auditing mechanisms.
USAID/Serbia intends to assist Serbian organizations supporting local civic activism and policy advocacy initiatives, particularly outside Belgrade and major cities, that advance Serbia‘s Euro-Atlantic integration process; improve prospects for local Serbian philanthropy to expand potential sources of civil society support; and strengthen civil society capacity, networks/linkages and innovation to better address community and social challenges, especially through collective action.
Priority is given to shorter-term rapid-response programs (three-six months or six-12 months). Applicants should submit concept paper, preliminary budget and capability statement in English via email to be considered for the grant. Interested applicants can participate in Post-solicitation Conference to be held on 23 April (10:00-12:00) 2014 at REX Cultural Center in Belgrade, Serbia.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Any registered Serbian civil society organization/business association is eligible to apply.
- For-profit companies are not eligible to apply.
- Organizations may submit applications individually or in partnership with other international or local organizations. Partnership or consortium must have one lead organization who will handle all the activities.
