The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking concept papers from qualified applicants for Sudan Civil Society Organization (CSO) Support program.
Award Information
- USAID intends to award between one to four awards ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 per year.
- Applicants may propose activities covering no more than three years from the date of award.
Objectives
- To strengthen civil society capacity at national and sub-national levels to improve understanding of democratic and good governance principles and peaceful, effective engagement
- To improve citizen Engagement including women, youth and other underdeveloped groups – in democratic processes and national dialogue.
Eligibility Information
- Eligible organizations are:
- Registered Sudanese private non-governmental organizations,
- Registered Sudanese non-profit organizations and
- Sudanese for-profit organizations willing to forego profit
- Types of organizations could include foundations, faith-based organizations (FBOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), private organizations affiliated with public academic institutions and international non-governmental organizations, private companies, professional associations, and other international and indigenous organizations.
- Qualified Sudanese private non-profit organizations may apply.
- Qualified Sudanese colleges and universities may apply.
Submission Process
Applicants are encouraged to submit concept papers in areas of their core competency and seek strategic partnerships, where beneficial, with other organizations including county/national governments, private sector, research, academia and others. Only successful applicants at the concept paper stage will be invited to submit full applications.
