Deadline– May 15, 2012
The Al-Mubadarah Mentor: Arab Diaspora for Development is pleased to announce that we will be accepting applications for the spring cycle of its Palestine Mentorship Program in partnership with the Cherie Blaire Foundation for Women.
They are currently seeking applications from the Palestinian Diaspora (and other Arab Diaspora interested in Palestine) for a mentorship program aimed at empowering and assisting the professional development of Palestinian business women and entrepreneurs in the West Bank. As the saying says “invest in a woman and you invest into the whole society.”
The Al-Mubadarah Fellowship and Mentorship Programs provides skilled and accomplished Arab Diaspora professionals with the tools to become mentors, advisors and colleagues to promising professionals and institutions in their field throughout the Arab World. The Fellowship is a unique opportunity for Diaspora to connect back to their countries of origin and actively take part in contributing to professional and economic development efforts on the ground (you can imagine a ‘PeaceCorps’ by Arabs for Arabs). The Mentorship program provides opportunities for members of the Diaspora to mentor and coach mentees in the Arab world via the internet. As part of our commitment to professional development both in the Diaspora and in MENA, Al-Mubadarah provides Fellows and Mentors with leadership and cultural workshops to ensure they have the tools necessary to effectively communicate and share their skills and expertise.
Who can apply?
- Strong commitment in supporting professional development for women in Palestine
- At least four years of professional work experience building successful businesses; however professionals in other industries with experience in entrepreneurship are welcome to apply
- Proactive in communicating and completing mentorship program tasks
