The Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation – MASHAV in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Jerusalem, The Golda Meir Mount Carmel International Training Center – MCTC, The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies-AIES and The Arava Center for Sustainable Development-ACSD have launched an international workshop on Building Sustainable Communities: Leadership, Gender, and the Environment.
The objective of the Workshop is to strengthen sustainable community development through policy making and capacity building of women and men to promote sustainable forms of living in all aspects of the community, including gender sensitive and participatory processes of decision making, ecological, and environment friendly practices.
MASHAV scholarship covers study facilities, accommodation, full board, and health services.
Eligibility Criteria
- Workshop is designed for women and men community leaders, grassroots development officers, national and local government officers, and nongovernmental rural development practitioners.
- Candidates are expected to have academic training or equivalent professional qualifications in relevant subjects, with at least 5 years of practical experience.
- Candidate should be presently engaged in promoting sustainable living in their communities.
- A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
