The Fortune/U.S. State Department is currently accepting applications from emerging women leaders around the globe for Global Women’s Mentoring Program 2015. This public-private partnership program of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit and the U.S. State Department places talented, emerging women leaders from all over the world in mentoring programs with Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Leaders.
Over the past ten years, the program has connected women from around the world with executive women mentors from Fortune 500 companies, resulting in the expansion of professional networks and skill development opportunities for the emerging leaders.
Program Highlights
- The program will take place from 7 April through 20 May 2015 and includes a four-day orientation and leadership and skills training component in Washington, DC.
- An approximately two-week mentorship assignment will be conducted after successful completion of orientation program.
- The final component will be a two-day debriefing in New York City, where participants will receive communication training, evaluate their mentorship experiences, and develop follow-up activities.
- During the next two weeks, American and international participants work together in mentoring relationships to share the skills and experiences necessary for strengthening women’s leadership.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be emerging self-motivated women leaders in the business or non-profit sectors between 25 to 43 years of age.
- Women who run their own businesses, work in the middle/middle-upper management of a non-U.S.-based corporation or women who run business associations, foundations or non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply for the program.
- Applicants must have a very good command of English.
- Individuals who work for Fortune 500 companies are not eligible to apply.
