Department of State – U.S. Embassy, Kabul, Afghanistan has announced funding opportunity to conduct a training program for Afghan women Members of Parliament (MPs) in communications and media relations skills by focusing on practical skills in the areas of messaging, public presentation and media relations tools and invites proposals.
Topics covered in the program should include: basic communications and media relations skills, including how to develop an effective message, how to develop an effective media outreach plan, how to develop materials that are usable with the press, such as press releases, how to develop strong relationships with members of the media (print, TV and radio), and the use of Twitter and other social media platforms to project a message to the media or public.
