An annual program Statement (APS) has been announced for Local Partners’ Policy Engagement Activity Program under USAID. The goal of this program is to raise rural household incomes and improving the food and nutrition security of the population. USAID/Uganda anticipates up to $2,600,000 over three years will be available under the Local Partners’ Policy Engagement APS.
The plan has four main components: 1) enhancing production and productivity, 2) improving access to markets and value-addition, 3) creating an enabling environment, and 4) institutional strengthening.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The applicant must be a local Ugandan organization .
- The organization must be organized or recognized in accordance with the laws of, and conduct operations in Uganda.
- Proposed activities must achieve results that contribute to improving the enabling environment in Uganda focused on agricultural policy, agricultural trade and/or climate change adaptation. No activities will be funded by USAID/Uganda that fall outside of the borders of Uganda.
