The Office of Population Affairs (OPA) is accepting proposals for Embryo Donation and/or Adoption Grant Projects. The goal is to increase public awareness of embryo donation/adoption and providing medical and administrative services to individuals adopting embryos.
OPA anticipates approximately $775,000 to support 2-6 new grants. Funding for each of the grants will range from $100,000 to $300,000 per year. Grants will be funded in annual increments (budget periods) and are generally approved for a project period of up to 2 years.
The Office of Population Affairs (OPA) serves as the focal point to advise the Secretary and the Assistant Secretary for Health on a wide range of reproductive health topics, including adolescent pregnancy, family planning, and sterilization, as well as other population issues.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only agencies and organizations are eligible to apply. Individuals can not apply.
- Public agencies, non-profit organizations, or for-profit organizations are eligible to apply for this grant.
- Educational institutions including academic medical centers and/or their affiliated clinics are eligible to apply for this grant.
- American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native American (AT/AN/NA) organizations are also eligible to apply.
