U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) is seeking applications for Sustainable WASH Support Program in South Sudan. This program is being supported by United States Government (USG), as represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA). The goal of this program is to align with the first strategic objective of USAID’s Water and Development Strategy (2013-2018) to ―Improve health outcomes through the provision of sustainable WASH.
Objectives-
- Reduce water-borne and diarrheal disease through comprehensive water, sanitation, and hygiene programming targeted to reduce fecal-oral disease transmission.
- Improve sustainability of existing water supply infrastructure for communities, moving them away from fully subsidized approaches and laying the foundation for development donor and local government support through a few avenues outlined in the full announcement.
Eligibility-
- Small businesses
- For profit organizations other than Small businesses
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Private institutions of higher education
