Well qualified organizations are invited to submit applications for Rwanda Health Systems Strengthening (RHSS) Activity under USAID. This programme is being supported by Ministry of Health (MOH). The mission of this programme is to improve the health of the people of Rwanda, through coordinated interventions by all stakeholders at all levels, thereby enhancing the general well-being of the population and contributing to the reduction of poverty.
Objectives:
- Improving service delivery
- Strengthening the health workforce
- Improving Health Information System
- Improving Pharmaceutical Management
- Improving the Decentralization of Financing Systems
- Improving Leadership, Governance of the District Health Services
- Development Challenge for the GOR and USAID’s Response
Interested organizations may request funding of up to $24,900,000 for the period of 5 years.
Eligibility criteria:
- Qualified applicants may be U.S. or non-U.S. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private voluntary organizations (PVOs), for-profit companies willing to forego profit, and Public International Organizations. Faith-based and community organizations that fit the criteria above are also eligible to apply. In support of the Agency’s interest in fostering a larger assistance base and expanding the number and sustainability of development partners, USAID encourages applications from potential new partners.
- Recipients are not required to register with USAID or have previous experience with USAID.When considering making an award to an organization with limited or no previous USAID experience, USAID might determine to conduct a pre-award survey which is a risk assessment to determine the organization’s capabilities to complete the proposed activities.
