Deadline: 30 January 2014
USAID/West Africa is accepting applications for ‘Key Interventions to Develop Systems and Services (KIDSS) for Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Populations in Cameroon’ Grant program 2014 from US and non-US organizations. The major aim of KIDSS is to alleviate the socioeconomic impact of HIV/AIDS on the development of the country by improving capacities of Government of Cameroon, community networks, and families/caregivers to provide high quality care and support services to OVC.
KIDSS Cameroon will support the government to address the gap between the needs of children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and lack of interventions implemented to address the needs. This will be done through the expansion of services to OVC. Implementation of the program should improve the livelihood of OVC by mitigating the impact of HIV & AIDS on vulnerable households in targeted geographic areas. The expected results for the project include improved government of the Republic of Cameroon (GRC) systems and policy environment for sustainable OVC care; improved capacity of communities and local providers to provide high quality priority services for OVC and their families; and strengthened linkage through the continuum of Prevention, Care, and Treatment (CoPCT) approach.
Applicant must follow online application method and two separate applications titled as technical application and business applications are to be submitted. Total fund of the program is $7.5 million in to be allocated over a five year period.
