United States Agency for International Development Mission in Mali (USAID/Mali) is accepting applications to implement High Impact Health Services II Activity. The program activity is designed to assist the GOM MOH to improve and expand select high impact health services and ending preventable child and maternal deaths by focusing on three critical health system components as they intersect at the community level: health service delivery, social and behavior change, and health systems strengthening.
The Activity is expected to employ a number of technical approaches that have proven to be effective in Mali, build on these successes and accelerate gains by incorporating new ideas and innovations to increase access to and improve the quality of a package of High Impact Health Services (HIHS).
Component Areas –
- Delivery of an integrated package of high-impact health services at the community level
- Social and behavioral change communication (SBCC)
- Health systems strengthening (HSS)
Technical Areas of Interventions –
- Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health & Family Planning
- Malaria
- Infectious Disease (including HIV/AIDS)
- Nutrition, Water, and Sanitation
Eligibility Criteria –
- Any US or international organization, private voluntary organization, non-profit or for-profit entity is eligible to apply.
- The application must demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of gender and how potential imbalance with regards to gender can best be addressed in programming and propose meaningful approaches to address gender, girls’ and women empowerment, as well as constructive engagement of men.
