- Single Institution US $40,000-$80,000
- Multiple Institution US $80,000-120,000
Requested funds can only be used to support costs for developing country researchers and institutions.

- 9 January 2015 – Pre-proposal submission deadline
- 13 February 2015 – Notification to selected applicants and invitation to submit full proposal
- 300 March 2015 – Full proposal submission deadline
- Late June 2015 – Awardees Announcement
How to Prepare Pre-proposal for PEER Grants
- Convey the development impact of proposed research for the focus area to which you are applying. Successful pre-proposals will
- Include a clear statement of the project goals and explanations of how these goals will be achieved.
- Highlight the collaborative nature of the US Government-funded partner and how the partnership will contribute to successful completion of the project.
- Mention a total estimated budget figure. Detailed budget requests and further justification will be requested from applicants invited to submit a full proposal. Total estimated budget numbers should be developed commensurate with the support needed to achieve the project goals. Use the budget template (16KB, .xls) provided in the PEER call website to better estimate anticipated total budget costs.
