Rio+twenties, a youth-led, volunteer-based organization working to create a platform for the active participation of youth in the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development has published the Rio+20 Participation Guide.
The guide provides information about the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, also known as Rio+20 to be held from 20-22 June 2012 in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. The conference will bring together world leaders, along with thousands of participants from governments, the private sector, NGOs and other groups to shape how we can reduce poverty, advance social equity and ensure environmental protection on an ever more crowded planet to get to the future we want.
Specifically the guide is useful for youths to identify ways to make a real difference and shares a lot of best practices, tips and tricks and existing examples on youth activism.
The guide can be downloaded freely in English, Portuguese, Russian and English at this link.
