Since a few years Hivos has been exploring a Theory of Change approach with the aim to enhance the quality of strategic thinking and the effectiveness of its programmes. Initially, this process focused on capacity development support to Hivos’ partners organisations in the South (See also “Background and objectives”). At this moment, the focus is also specifically on Hivos and its staff and programmes.
Hivos developed this portal within the context of a learning process on ToC, that started in 2010 in cooperation with an external support team (see “Programme team”).
The aim of the Resource Portal on Theory of Change is to make resources available to Hivos staff and other actors interested. On the portal you will find some information on the background, objectives, principles and methodology of this ToC initiative. The Resources part consists of different type of resources on a selected number of topics, framed as Questions.
Under E-dialogues you’ll find the results of e-discussions to share views and experiences on topics and questions around ToC and its application in practice.
