Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be nominated by their respective government. A government can nominate maximum 4 candidates.
- Applicants must submit three (3) completed nomination forms to the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries before the closing date of application.
- Applicants can be at most 55 years old at the day of application.
- Applicants must have bachelor degree of university or technical college.
- Applicants must have at least 2 years of professional experience in nursing, public health and other relevant areas relating to child health.
- Applicants must be proficient in English.
- Applicants must have good health and should have a health certificate provided by an authorized physician.
- Pregnancy is regarded as a disqualifying condition for participation in the course
- List of eligible countries – Afghanistan, Jordan, Maldives, Nepal, Palestine, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Palau, Solomon Island, Micronesia, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Angola, Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Gabon, Ghana, Mauritania, South Sudan, Belize, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Paraguay, Suriname.
Advance Assignments for selected participants – All selected participants will have to prepare country report. They will submit one copy of the report to course coordinator on the first day of the training program. They will be presenting the report by a slide power point for 10-15 minutes. The report should include the following –
- Introduction – course name, personal introduction of applicant, country/organization, main tasks of the organization and organization chart, and applicant’s position, roles and responsibility
- General information of the country – Geographical status of the country, climate, population, official language, social, educational and economic conditions, gross National Products [GNP], Per-capita income, environmental situation, etc.
- Historical background of the participant related to the training course
- Early childhood health problems, policy and management relating to early childhood health care in their own country and setting
- Expectations from the training course
