The Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) invites organizations implementing nutrition-related programs to apply for the second and final round of grant opportunity in the four-year Nutrition Embedding Evaluation Program (NEEP). NEEP is funded by the UK Department for International Development.
PATH is an international organization aimed at improving the health of people around the world by advancing technologies, strengthening systems, and encouraging healthy behaviors. The core areas of work are- emerging and epidemic diseases, health technologies, maternal and child health, reproductive health, and Vaccines and immunization.
Grant Categories:
- Nutrition Evaluation: To support organizations evaluate the nutrition impact and outcomes of their programs, especially those that are using previously untested nutrition approaches. Applications are also accepted from organizations working to improve nutrition policy and/or the enabling environment. Program areas can be- agriculture, education, gender, empowerment, social development, health, or water and sanitation.
- Planned and ongoing evaluation activities (supplemental funding): To organizations that already have established evidence-based nutrition programs. These organizations should be interested in evaluating the scale-up of delivery, cost effectiveness, or an innovative application of a proven intervention. The fund can be used to conduct further data collection, additional documentation and publication, more in-depth analysis, or reassessment of evaluation design.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicants should have established links with academic experts in the field of nutrition-related monitoring and evaluation (M&E) [in case they are selected for grants].
- Applicants for nutrition evaluation grants should be organizations that are using previously untested nutrition approaches in their programs. Organizations working to improve nutrition policy and/or the enabling environment can also apply.
- Supplemental funding is available for organizations that already have established evidence-based nutrition programs. The applicants should already have some M&E capacity.
