The Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) is pleased to offer Research Grant Call for year 2012 in the field of Prevent and reduce disability and death due to cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
The Singapore Heart Foundations is a non-profit organisation whose primary mission is to promote heart health and to prevent and reduce disability and death due to cardiovascular diseases and stroke. This year, a total of $300,000 will be available through the SHF research programme for researchers to carry out research projects which will help SHF achieve their mission. SHF is interested in a broad range of ideas but is particularly interested in projects that will help the Singapore Heart Foundation develop new programmes or evaluate/improve existing programs for the promotion of heart health.
Scope-
- SHF assists recovering heart patients and helps individuals at risk of developing heart disease to manage their condition. SHF organises public lectures, education campaigns etc thus is interested in the effectiveness of these programmes for promoting a change in behaviour and also novel ways to provide education that will result in behaviour change
- SHF Schools Programme is designed to instill healthy habits in children. SHF believes in engaging young people through service learning/community involvement programmes.
- The Heart Safe Programme is designed to improve the out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest survival rate in Singapore by creating an environment for more effective use of CPR and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) in the community.
Eligibility–
Limited to mostly healthcare providers in Singapore.
