United States Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) is inviting proposals from organizations outlining program concepts and capacity to manage the projects on ‘Supporting Transitional Justice in Yemen’.
Community based projects that support local reconciliation processes and explore the intersections between informal, traditional, and formal justice mechanisms are highly encouraged to apply for the fund program. The projects that clearly define how the proposed activities can be adaptable and scalable in other communities in Yemen. Programs should provide capacity building, coaching, networking, and other support to partner Yemeni CSOs. Partnership with local organizations is strongly encouraged. Approximate budget of the program is $375,000. An organization may submit no more than two [2] proposals.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant organization must be registered either in grantsolutions.gov or grants.gov and must submit proposals electronically before deadline.
- Applicants must consider the technical formats in proposal – all pages are numbered, including budgets and attachments; all documents are formatted to 8 ½ x 11 paper; and all Microsoft Word documents are single-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font, with a minimum of 1-inch margins.
- Proposals that reflect any type of support, for any member, affiliate, or representative of a designated terrorist organization, whether or not elected members of government are not eligible.
