UNDP is accepting proposals for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)under the project“Enhancing Transparent Participatory Governance and Human Rights”. The program is funded by Swedish government through the Iraq UNDAF Trust Fund. The objective of this program is to promote transparent participatory governance and strengthen human rights in Iraq.
This call for proposals will link the civil society and human rights outputs of the programme by providing funding opportunities to local CSOs to meaningfully engage in raising awareness on human rights issues, institutions and violations in Iraq
Thematic areas-
- Human Rights awareness campaign
- Raising awareness on the role of the Iraq High Commission on Human Rights and the Human Rights Committee of the Council of Representatives.
- Documentation of Human Rights violations
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Eligible NGOs are national Iraqi NGOs registered legally under the NGOs Directorate, if they work at Federal level or legally registered in the Kurdistan Region if they work at Kurdistan Region level.
- The applicant can be an individual NGO or a consortium of NGOs. In case of a consortium a lead NGO will have to apply on behalf of the consortium.
