The Finnish NGO Foundation for Human Rights KIOS is an independent, non-political, non-religious and non-governmental foundation established in 1998. KIOS funds human rights objectives is to protect the rights defined in international human rights treaties and committing to human rights in their legislation and its implementation. KIOS also funds projects in developing countries and is thus a direct channel of support to projects that promote the realization of human rights in the developing countries and human rights knowledge of civil society actors.
