The Handicap International is an independent international solidarity organization which works in situations of poverty or exclusion, conflict and natural disasters. Handicap International works and campaigns in over 60 countries in order to restore their dignity and give them back a role in the community. The primary objective of the association is to defend and promote access to fundamental rights for people with disabilities.
The association takes actions and speaks out to meet the essential needs and improve the living conditions of people with disabilities and people in vulnerable situations. It provides relief and assistance to vulnerable populations, people with disabilities, displaced persons or refugees in emergency contexts and situations of conflicts or natural disaster.
