Proposals are accepted for Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development Program under EuropeAid. The mission of this program is to strengthen the capacities of vulnerable communities in Guyana (including the Amerindian communities) so as to enable them to be more productive and self sufficient.
Areas of Interest-
- Institutional strengthening of civil society organisations primarily those in depressed communities.
- Strengthen the relationships between vulnerable communities and regional and national authorities in response to the current top-down approach.
- Strengthen the participation of vulnerable communities in the governmental consultation processes on key national issues and in platforms such as the Private Sector Commission (PSC); the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce (GCC) or the Guyana Human Rights Association (GHRA)
- Strengthen the capacity of village councils and communities to address the delivery of public services such as: health, education and environmental issues affecting the community.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is €825,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 60 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non profit making
- be specific types of organisations such as: non-governmental organisations, public sector operators, local authorities, and
- be established in a Member State of the EU or in Guyana where the action will take place. This obligation does not apply to international organisations
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their co-applicants, affiliated entities not acting as an intermediary
