The Secours Catholique-Caritas de France was founded in 1946 which aims to maintain the dignity of the human person, justice, solidarity, brotherhood, reconciliation, peace, the preferential option for the poor, the full development of the human person, subsidiarity, the universal destination of goods, the indivisibility of rights.
Mission and objectives:
- Catholic Relief’s mission is to showcase Christian charity by the implementation of concrete solidarity between all in France and worldwide.
- It considers that the men, women and children living in situations of poverty are the first actors of development.
- It engages with them to fight against the causes of poverty and exclusion, and promote the development of the human person in all its dimensions.
- It seeks a partnership with activist organizations that share its objectives to promote social justice in national and international policies.
- Testifying to the gospel, he invites each person to meet the poor, to listen to them, to support and partner with them to build together a just and fraternal society.
