Calls for Proposals invited for ICT for empowerment of women and girls by Sida

Deadline for submission of applications is October 18, 2012.

Calls for Proposals are invited for ICT for empowerment of women and girls. SIDA invites civic organizations and other relevant actors to apply for funding where information and communications technology is being used to increase women and girls use and access to ICT in developing countries.

The specific objective of this call for proposals is to enhance socio-economic equality between women and men by ensuring equal access to technology and equal opportunities for men, women, boys and girls to use ICT in an open society.

This call for proposals is linked to the Swedish Government’s Strategy for Capacity Development and Collaboration 2011-2013. This strategy aims to support the provision of good skills and high capacity among various actors to facilitate the effective use of, and access to, Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D).

Full Project Applications should be submitted for evaluation. Submission of application has been delayed. All applications should be made through a digital application system that will be available on this site as of 24 September 2012.

Only applications for projects to be implemented starting year 2012 or 2013 and ending no later than 31 December 2014 will be considered.
