The GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies / Leibniz-Institut für Globale und Regionale Studien seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Social Sciences in particular Economics and Political Science.
Applications are invited for a full-time position, with a contract of 2.5 years, starting October 012. The salary is commensurate with TV-AVH / TVöD EG 13/14 (dependent on experience).
The successful candidate
- · Will contribute to the NOPOOR project on “Enhancing Knowledge for Renewed Policies against Poverty” funded under the 7th framework programme of the European Union.

Desired qualifications:
- · Doctorate in Development Economics or Development Studies or Political Science
- · Strong background in empirical Development Economics / Development Studies / Political Economy / Political Sociology with research experience in developing countries
