ACDI/VOCA has invited applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the job/vacancy of Volunteer – Financial System Development and Business Management Specialist. This assignment will be based in Liberia.
The Aaron Marshall Pig Farm requests volunteer assistance to develop an appropriate financial systems management system for the farm as they plan to improve and expand their operations. The volunteer will also be asked to train staff members on utilizing the system, proper reporting practices, and business plan development. The assignment will last for approximately two weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research previous to departure. Travel and living expenses are covered.
Qualifications:
- University degree in business management, financial management, or another related degree.
- Ten years’ experience in business management and business plan development with a strong background in conducting trainings.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and Powerpoint.
- The volunteer should be prepared to travel for long hours in a bad road network linking the farming communities in the region. He/she should also be prepared to live in these rural communities without internet, air-conditioning and other amenities. The volunteer must also be prepared to work under dry and hot weather conditions.
