Applications are invited by WWF-India from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Education Officer at Andhra Pradesh State Office. Locations of this job will be based in Hyderabad, AP- India. Please note that this vacancy is open to Indian Nationals only.
Required Candidate Profile:
A. Educational Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Life Sciences / Wildlife Biology/Ecology /Environmental Education
B. Experience:
- 1-2 years, preferably in a similar role
C. Special Skills and Abilities:
- Fluency in English, Hindi and the local language, i.e. Telugu.
- Excellent Communication and presentation skills
- Good writing skills are a must; capability to prepare training modules and generate resource materials
- Willingness to travel extensively within Andhra Pradesh
Specific Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Organize programmes aimed at building green capacity in educational institutions with teachers, youth and school children, to generate a cadre of conservation-conscious and motivated citizens who may play a role in promoting environmentally sustainable life-styles.
- Organize teachers’ training workshops, nature club activities, and seminars.
- Assist in designing compiling and generating locale specific resource material in the regional language for environment education programmes.
- Engage with Corporate for in-house training programmes on environmental issues.
- Fundraising actively for educational programmes from Corporate, relevant State Government Departments and other likeminded organizations.
