International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking applications from qualified and deserving candidates for the vacancy of Resident Macro-Fiscal Advisor in AFRITAC East. Locations of this job will be based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Kindly note that duration of contract is 1 year (renewable).
Qualifications
In addition to a graduate-level degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in macroeconomics, public finance or a related field, the candidate should have a minimum of five years experience working in a national finance ministry, international organization, or similar institution. Strong quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skills in English are essential as is technical proficiency in the areas of macroeconomic forecasting, financial programming, fiscal policy analysis, and budget formulation. Prior experience in developing, managing, and delivering capacity-building projects in the macro-fiscal area in developing countries and/or work experience in the countries covered by AFRITAC East would be an advantage.
The contract will be a one-year renewable appointment. Candidates not selected for this position may be considered for other FAD positions and assignments.
