UN Habitat has invited applications from eligible and deserving applicants for the job/vacancy of Human Settlement Officer-Capacity Building. Kindly note that location of this job is Nairobi, Kenya.
Education
- Advanced University Degree (Masters or equivalent) in architecture, urban planning, economics, finance, public administration, social development, human resource development, development studies or related area. A first-level University Degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
- A minimum of five years of experience in human settlements projects and programmes at national and local levels, of which at least two at the international level. Proven experience in human settlements development field, projects/programme design and implementation with the UN or other international agencies will be an advantage.
Languages
- Fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
Assessment Method
- Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
