Applications are invited by Malaria Consortium from qualified and suitable applicants for the job/vacancy of Financial Controller. Location of this job will be based in London, UK. Travel will be required to country offices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Qualified ACA or CIMA Accountant
- Two to three years post qualified experience ideally in the NGO sector
- Working overseas or with those from other cultures
Desirable:
- Working in or with an internal audit function
- Knowledge of NGO donors and their financial reporting requirements
- Experience of a treasury function, including FX hedging
Work Based Skills and Competencies:
Essential:
- Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft excel
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – knowing the right method at the right time
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong ability to be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Drive for excellent results
- Respect for others
Desirable:
- Knowledge of PS Financials
- Experience in training finance staff
- Able to cope with pressure
- Attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
