Applications are invited from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Program Manager – Judicial Training, Justice Sector Support Program at United Nations. Professional fluency in French and English is required. Job location is Cote d’Ivoire.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead development and implementation of the in-service and continuing education training components for the judiciary and judiciary police of the anticipated project.
- Provide technical assistance and support in the development of course curricula and teaching methodologies for judges and judiciary police, in partnership with the National Institute of Judicial Training and Director General of the Judiciary Police, and relevant legal education institutions.
- Assist in conducting in-service and continuing education judicial and judiciary police training programs utilizing interactive and participatory teaching methodologies, including the Train-the-Trainer (TOT) methodology.
- Work closely with the National Institute of Judicial Training and Inspection General des Services Judiciares to increase management capacity and institutional development of these judicial organizations.
- Work closely with the Ministry of Justice and the National Institute of Judicial Training to develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure consistency and effectiveness of judicial training program activities.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Degree in public administration, political science or a relevant subject; degree in law is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in an advisory or managerial role on rule of law, judiciary, or criminal justice donor-funded projects.
- Designing and/or conducting training programs for judges or judiciary police preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience in Train-the-Trainer (TOT) teaching methodologies.
- Experience in institutional development or capacity building of governmental institutions preferred.
- Developing and implementing donor-funded technical legal assistance projects in judicial reform is preferred.
- Experience working in the justice sector with government officials, judicial institutions and judges in Cote d’Ivoire is preferred.
- Professional fluency in French and English is required.
