United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking applications for the post of Regional Translation Intern – HIV, Health and Development Unit. This is home-based job in Slovak Republic. Native fluency in Russian.is must and Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Duration of initial contract is 3-6 months and the expected duration of assignment is approximately 20 hours a week.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Translation, proofing and editing of UNDP websites, reports, articles and emails;
- Participation in the coordination of translation projects
- Support with the development of text (in Russian) for the public HIV/AIDS website
- Other as required.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Enrollment in a graduate degree programme (second university degree or higher) in translation, linguistics or literature
- Knowledge of HIV, Health and development terminology (a strong asset);
- Must be available at least 20 hours a week for a period of at least 3 months;
- Solid writing and communications abilities;
- Must be able to work in a multicultural environment and be aware of political sensitivities;
- Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic.
Language:
- Native fluency in Russian.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
