UNICEF India has invited applications from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Communication Officer. The location of this position will be based in New Delhi – India. Kindly note that this position is open for Indian Nationals only.
Qualifications, Skills And Attributes
Education
- Completion of university degree in Communication, Journalism or Public Relations/relevant area, preferably supplemented by technical courses or equivalent professional work experience in a field of communication, related to the work of the organization. Knowledge of the media/ communication environment.
Work Experience
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in communication, of which at least one year should demonstrate experience of conceptual and analytical skills to synthesize information simplify and communicate complex issues in a coherent, compelling and speedy manner. UN experience desirable.
- Ability to interpret public needs and communicate UNICEF’s response to public and effective writing and communication skills.
Languages
- Fluency in spoken and written English, and excellent drafting ability. Knowledge of the local working languages(s) of the duty station is an asset.
