World Vision International is seeking applications from qualified and deserving candidates for the job/vacancy of Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Manager. The location of this job will be based in Harare-Zimbabwe. Please note that this position is on contractual basis for a period of 4 year.
Purpose of Position
The M&E Manager will have the overall responsibility of monitoring the performance of agriculture, health & nutrition, and food distribution activities and managing the systems for collecting M&E information within a multi-year, multi-sectoral programme. In addition, the selected candidate should have expertise in leading monitoring and evaluation activities including training and research implementation. The M&E Manager will be responsible for ensuring that monitoring and reporting of all program activities and outcomes are in place, effectively implemented and well synchronized between program locations and components.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required
- A Master’s degree with emphasis on research techniques for health, nutrition, agriculture, gender, resiliency, or related topics.
- 5 years experience in designing & building capacity with M&E tools and guidelines in International donor funded projects. Skills in information interpretation and analysis, particularly in writing executive summaries, articles, bulletins, and other documents.
- Abundant experience in design and coordination of large studies (Assessments, Baselines, Evaluations) required. Substantial experience and awareness of M&E as quality assurance support
- Previous experience designing and implementing M&E training for international organizations and USAID funded projects;
- Strong facilitation skills, including the design and management of effective training, workshops and meetings with diverse participants;
- Demonstrated experience in data collection; statistical analysis; and reporting; including experience with computer-based statistical packages and databases (Epi Info, ACCESS, STATA, SPSS, SAS, etc.);
- Experience conducting field research;
- Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations (preferably the Office of Food for Peace);
Preferred
- Ability to represent organization and project on relevant technical matters to host-country professionals ministries and donor colleagues.
