UNDP is hiring professionals for the Post of UN Women Deputy Director (Post Level- P-5), at Regional Centre for Europe and Central Asia in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a contract based job and the initial period of contract will be 1 year. Candidates must have fluency both in oral and written English. Working knowledge of Russian language will be asset.
Education:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a development-related area, including economics, public policy or other social science fields.
Experience:
- Over 10 years of extensive development experience that combines intellectual, strategic and managerial leadership in development programs some of which should be in the area of gender equality, preferably in developing countries within the UN system, Agencies, Funds, Programs, or UN Mission
- Experience with managing, supporting and overseeing development policy-making, program and operations management, resource mobilization and partnership creation.
Language:
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of another UN Language, especially Russian, will be an asset
