United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Admin / Finance Associate in Manila, Philippines. The duration for the post is of 1 year.
UNOPS mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Admin / Finance Associate will perform the following function-
- Maintain project budget and asset inventory in one UNOPS system.
- Ensure timely payments, monitor budget expenditures and provide advice on the budget status ensuring that funds allocated are not exceeded or that additional funds are allocated when required.
- Ensure proper planning, expenditure tracking and audit of financial resources, in accordance with UNOPS FRR.
- Facilitate quarterly and year-end closure of project books.
- Respond to queries on financial and administrative matters.
- Support recruitment and administration of UNOPS personnel, including attendance.
- Manage training plans for UNOPS personnel.
- Support procurement and supply chain processes, including assistance in the preparation of requisitions, tender documents, evaluation and award, etc.
- Manage travel and other transportation requirements of UNOPS personnel.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Secondary education completion required.
- First-level university degree (e.g. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent) and advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in accounting, financial management, business/public administration or other fields relevant to the above duties desired.
- Minimum 6 years work experience in a related administrative and/or financial environment in combination with secondary education.
- A first-level university degree or an advanced university degree in the relevant disciplines may substitute for some or all of the required years of relevant experience, respectively.
- Knowledge of UN staff, procurement and financial rules and regulations is an asset.
- Computer skills with word processing, spread sheets, email and internet are required. Knowledge of the UN system is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication in English is required.
