The FHI 360 is currently inviting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Associate Director, Corporate Accounting based in Washington DC, USA.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Research Officer performs the following functions-
- Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of all corporate accounting modules within FHI360’s accounting software system.
- Responsible for ensuring all setup and functionality of new accounting software system pertaining to corporate accounting, is an integral member of the overall system development and implementation team, and contributes toward design, setup, testing, and implementation of new ERP system for both headquarters and future global implementation.
- Oversees GL Manager, AP Manager, and Labor Manager, and ensures their accountability and performance of respective department outputs.
- Ensure integrity of all corporate accounting financial data produced into systems, and that it supports financial reporting and analysis objectives.
- Ensure reconciliation of all corporate accounting systems and sub-systems, and works closely with Associate Director, Field Accounting to ensure accurate integration of field finance data into corporate accounting systems and ledgers.
- Responsible for managing month-end close procedures for all corporate accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely month end close.
- Responsible for ensuring system setup and functionality, and conduct of corporate accounting processes for indirect rate structures, pools, allocations, clearing accounts, inter-company accounts, and other accounting processes within accounting software system.
- Responsible for producing monthly organizational financial management reports.
- Assists Director, Accounting and Manager, Audit in preparation of annual corporate financial statements.
- Participates in annual audit, ensuring required corporate accounting information is provided to auditors.
- Responsible for development of corporate accounting procedures, and assisting Director, Accounting and Controller with development of accounting policies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent – Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Related Field.
- CPA certificate.
- Knowledge of GAAP, CAS, and FAR required.
- Experience using complex accounting software systems required. Previous experience participating in design or implementation of an ERP system highly regarded. Deltek CostPoint experience highly regarded.
- Significant experience working for international non-governmental organizations (INGO) required. Experience working in diverse financial areas within the INGO industry highly regarded.
- Ability to provide both operational and strategic leadership, manage a team and ensure team unity, communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of staff both within and outside department, excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills required.
- Excellent MS Excel skills required. Strong knowledge and skills in other MS Office application highly regarded.
