The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is currently accepting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Associate based in London, UK.
The EBRD is a unique international financial institution that supports projects in 29 countries from central Europe to central Asia. Investing primarily in private sector clients whose needs cannot be fully met by the market, the Bank promotes entrepreneurship and fosters transition towards open and democratic market economies.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Associate will perform the following functions-
- Advising on international administrative law aspects of new human resources policies
- Advising in relation to staff grievances, mediation, disciplinary procedures and appeals
- Representation of the Bank before the relevant entities within its internal justice system and all aspects of case preparation in relation to such representation, including drafting of pleadings, review of witness statements and document assembly and production
- Advising on the development and application of personnel policies
- Advising in relation to the protection of the privileges and immunities of the EBRD and its personnel in member countries
- Advising in relation to administrative matters including, in particular, those affecting the headquarters building in London and resident office premises in the Bank’s countries of operations
- Drafting and negotiation of contracts for the supply of goods and services to the Bank.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A law degree from a leading university in one the EBRD’s Countries of Operation.
- Excellent English skills, including English language drafting, negotiating and presentation skills, additionally to the candidate’s mother tongue. Additional languages spoken in Central and Eastern European or in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region would be an asset.
- Professional experience in the field of international administrative law or commercial law would be an advantage.
