John Snow, Inc. (JSI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Country Program Finance Officer in Arlington, United States.
The Country Program Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring administrative, contractual, and financial tracking management and procedures of the SCMS country programs.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Country Program Finance Officer will perform the following functions-
- Lead country budgeting exercises, obtaining input from country program teams and SCMS partners. Prepare other project budgets as needed.
- Report to USAID on the financial status of SCMS country programs.
- Provide support to country teams regarding the communication of financial issues with USAID.
- Reconcile approved funding levels with country program teams and USAID/W.
- Manage project coding in Orion – creation, modifications, obligations, etc.
- Attend and participate in regular Country Team meetings and conference calls.
- Provide financial management support to SCMS non-field office (NFO) country programs and activities as needed.
- Monitor subcontractor ceilings and obligations in Orion. Liaise with Contracts team to request contract modifications.
- Perform Subcontractor contractual and financial review visits. Complete a final report documenting findings and recommendations.
- Monitor costs against budget, including tracking of accruals.
- Review vendor/subcontractor invoices.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- 2 or more years of work experience in a similar position.
- Experience working with USAID contracts and international projects.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel. Intermediate skills in Word, Access and general Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrated ability working as part of a team, as well as independently, and with multi-disciplinary associates of all levels.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and to prioritize as required.
- International travel or work experience highly desirable.
- Fluency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, with the ability to conduct business in English.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Ability to travel internationally.
